Dog Lead | ChainGuard 120 cm Metal Chain, Chew-Resistant & Leather-Style Handle — Small & Medium Dogs

Chain Dog Lead: The Answer for Lead Chewers

Does your dog chew through every lead you buy? Fabric leads fray, get gnawed and wear out fast with lively, excitable dogs. The ChainGuard chain dog lead is made from metal chain with a secure clasp and a comfortable leather-style handle, so it stands up to the dogs that love to grab and gnaw their lead.

Picture a crisp morning on the common: your Spaniel bounces along, tries to grab the lead as usual, and finds nothing to chew, so you both get on with the walk.

Made for Lively Dogs

Chew-Resistant Metal Chain

A classic chain-link construction in 2 mm metal gives you a chew-resistant lead that dogs can't make short work of the way they can with fabric. It's lightweight enough to stay comfortable for small and medium dogs, while keeping your dog securely by your side.

Rust-Resistant for British Weather

A rust-resistant finish means the chain copes with drizzle, wet grass and muddy fields. Give it a quick wipe and dry after rainy walks and it's ready for the next one.

Comfortable in Your Hand

Leather-Style Handle

Chain leads can be hard on your hands, so this one has a soft leather-style handle that's comfortable to hold and helps reduce strain on longer walks. It also gives the lead a smart, classic look.

Secure Metal Clasp and 120 cm Length

A sturdy metal clasp hook clips securely onto your dog's collar or harness D-ring. At 120 cm, the lead keeps your dog close by your side, ideal for pavements, busy streets and training to walk to heel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my dog chew through it?

The metal chain is chew-resistant, so it holds up far better than fabric leads. Still, discourage your dog from chewing it, as hard chewing on metal isn't good for their teeth.

How long is the lead?

It measures approximately 120 cm, with a 2 mm metal chain. That length keeps your dog close by your side, ideal for pavements, busy streets and training to heel.

Which dogs is it best for?

It's ideal for puppies, small and medium dogs, especially those that chew their lead. For very large or powerful dogs that pull hard, our braided rope dog lead is a stronger choice.

Will it rust?

It has a rust-resistant finish for outdoor use. Wipe it dry after wet walks to keep it looking its best.

Can I use it with a harness?

Yes. The metal clasp attaches to any collar or dog harness D-ring.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the chain and handle with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not soak the leather-style handle.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not completely satisfied, get in touch and we'll arrange a refund or exchange.

How quickly will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days from our supplier's warehouse in China, and most orders arrive in the UK within 9 to 13 working days of being placed. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Delivery is free on orders over £44.
