Dog Lead | RetractPro Retractable, Brake Lock & Tangle-Free Tape — Small Dogs & Puppies

Retractable Dog Lead: Freedom for Small Dogs, Control for You

A fixed lead is either too short for a good sniff or long enough to tangle round your legs. The RetractPro retractable dog lead lets out more length when your small dog wants to explore and winds it back neatly when they return, with a one-handed brake lock for the moments you need them close.

Picture a crisp morning in the park: your Jack Russell wanders off to investigate the hedgerow, then trots back as you approach the road. One press of the brake and the lead is locked short, right by your side.

Control in One Hand

One-Handed Brake Lock

Press the brake to stop the lead at the length you want, and release it to let the lead extend and retract automatically again. It works with one hand, so you can react in a moment near roads, cyclists or other dogs, even while carrying a coffee or a poo bag.

Heavy-Duty, Tangle-Free Nylon Tape

A flat, heavy-duty nylon tape of around 3 m winds smoothly in and out of the housing without twisting, so there are no knots or snags to sort out mid-walk. It's made to resist wear on everyday walks with lively small dogs.

Comfortable in Your Hand

Soft-Touch Ergonomic Handle

The rounded, ergonomic handle has a soft-touch finish that's gentle on your hand and helps you keep a secure hold, even on cold or drizzly mornings. The lightweight, compact design means it won't weigh you down on longer walks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which dogs is it for?

It's designed for small dogs and puppies. For medium or large dogs, have a look at our braided rope dog lead or reflective dog lead.

How long is the lead?

The tape extends to approximately 3 m, giving your dog room to explore while the brake lets you keep them close whenever you need to.

How does the brake work?

Press the brake button on the handle with your thumb to stop the lead at the length you want. Release it and the lead extends and retracts automatically again.

Will the tape tangle?

No. The flat nylon tape is designed to extend and retract smoothly without twisting, so it stays tangle-free on every walk.

Can I use it with a harness?

Yes. The clip fits most standard collars and dog harnesses. A harness is often more comfortable for small dogs on a retractable lead.

Is it suitable for puppies?

Yes. It suits dogs of all life stages, from puppies to adults. Keep the lead locked short while your puppy is learning.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not completely satisfied, get in touch and we'll arrange a refund or exchange.

How quickly will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days from our supplier's warehouse in China, and most orders arrive in the UK within 9 to 13 working days of being placed. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Delivery is free on orders over £44.
